I will tell you that their new disc " Seclusion " is a good option if
these inside the symphonic Gothic metal in the line of Tristania and The
Sins of thy Beloved. Penumbra threatens to occupy the preferential seats
in fans of the dark scene... Here the interview:

Firstly I want to
congratulate you for the new album! Was the result as you really wanted it?
Some detail that you wanted to change?
Thank you ! Yes, the result was exactly as we wanted it to be, I think we
would do the same again without changing anything, except maybe using a
real orchestra for the classical instruments! No, seriously we are very
satisfied with Seclusion.
"Seclusion" has a magnify sound, I have understood that it was produced
by Terje Refsnes (The Sins Of Thy Beloved, Tristania, Carpathian Forest);
well, tell us a little about the recording and production process of the
disc.
We had already been working with Terje for The Last Bewitchment, and we
were already admiring his work. For Seclusion, we recorded everything in
his studio, and it was very convenient because all the members of the band
were present so we could all work in the same time to fix the things that
went wrong. After the recording and the mixing, the album went to the
mastering, and there it was !
Well, to two months of the release of " Seclusión" the answer of the
press means has been very promising, many affirm that you are the new
promise of the Gothic Metal. What do you think of it?
We are flattered by this, we don't know if we are the new promise of
gothic metal but I think that we have something new to say, some fresh air
to bring in this musical style; we are a component of this scene and we
help it to be various and rich. The future will tell how far we will go …

The disc is a concept album, it is the continuation of "The Last
Bewitchment" , lyrically it relates the history of the love between an
angel and a human. Would I like to know which the conception that you have
about the love is? Do you think that the love without pain love is not?
Love is an essential concept in life, it is the essential reason to live,
a life without love is half empty. Love can be without pain, but the point
is that the person you love may leave you, or die, or betray you, and that
happens so often… And this pain gives another dimension to love, it brings
a sadness that has something of beautiful in a way, and mainly it is a
source of inspiration for many people. There is less to say about a
perfect love than about a love lost, anyway it is our point of view…
The new production includes Irish bagpipes, flutes among other European
traditional instruments, granting to the band certain atmosphere folk to
the sound of the band. you speak to me in this respect...
Well, you are true, we included some new instruments to our music because
our story is located in several places so we wanted to illustrate that by
using several folk instruments, related to the backgrounds of these
places.
Thank you for time towards me, tell us your future plans and your last
words for all your fans in South America...
For the future, we will go on tour with Epica through four European
countries, and we are planning to organize others tours as soon as
possible.
